Sweet Cream Cold Foam (with Sugar-Free Option)
Made from-scratch at home in under 5 minutes with only 3 ingredients. This copycat Starbucks cold foam is thick, creamy, and perfectly sweetened with simple syrup.

Copycat Starbucks Cold Foam
From my first sip of Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold foam, I knew I needed to recreate that creamy, cloud-like topping at home. I love a copycat recipe and being able to make my favourite cafe beverages at home brings a little added joy to the everyday and keeps my coffee budget from spilling over.

Made with only 3 ingredients and no fancy equipment (just a mason jar!) you can enjoy this thick, creamy, perfectly sweetened cold foam at home in under 5 minutes. Not only is it super quick and simple, it’s also easily customizable and adaptable to every occasion. Just use your favourite flavour of simple syrup to match your mood or the season. It’ll transform any homemade coffee drink, matcha, or cocoa into a cafe-style treat you can sip and savour at home.

Key Ingredients + Substitutions
- Heavy Whipping Cream – Makes the cold foam thick, creamy, and stable. So it stays luscious and foamy without dissolving into your drink.
- Milk – Use whatever milk you like. Any dairy milk (whole, 2%, 1%, or skim) or alternative milk (almond, cashew, coconut, oat, soy) will work here.
- Syrup – Simple syrup adds a hint of sweetness. Try a flavoured syrup, like vanilla, cinnamon dolce, caramel, or even peppermint for a fun, festive topper. You can also use maple syrup to keep it refined sugar-free. For a zero sugar cold foam, use a sugar-free syrup (like my sugar-free vanilla syrup).
Make it Keto! (Sugar-Free Keto Cold Foam)
To make this cold foam keto-friendly, use a sugar-free simple syrup and a low-carb, sugar-free milk like almond, cashew, coconut, or my homemade keto milk (a simple blend of heavy cream and water).
