These Greek Kofta are so flavourful! They’re full of fresh grated onion, warming all spice, and topped with bright, creamy, garlicky tzatziki. You can make these kebabs on the grill or in the oven. You can even omit the skewers and turn them into meatballs. However you make them, these beef kofta are super simple and delicious!

Ingredients you’ll need for Greek kofta kebabs
- Ground beef: Grass-fed lean ground beef.
- Onion: One white, yellow, or red onion, grated.
- Seasonings: Dried oregano + ground all spice + garlic powder + salt.
- Tzatziki: Greek yogurt (dairy or plant-based) + grated cucumber + lemon juice (fresh or bottled) + olive oil + minced garlic + dill (fresh or dried) + salt.

How to make Greek kofta kebabs
- Prepare the tzatziki. In a medium bowl, mix together the tzatziki ingredients until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat grill or oven to 350°F. If using the oven, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the kofta. In a large bowl, mix together all the kofta ingredients until well combined. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Form each portion into an oblong log. Insert a skewer through the center of each.
- Grill (or bake) the kofta. Grill over medium-high heat for 2 minutes per side (8-10 minutes total) or bake for 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reads 165°F.
- Serve with tzatziki.

Baking Tips: If you’re baking your kofta, you can omit the skewers (if desired) and adjust the portion size to make more, smaller kofta or shape them into round meatballs. Perfect for stuffing into pita pockets or topping a Mediterranean bowl!

What to serve with Greek kofta
Pair your kofta with one or more traditional Greek side dishes, like Greek salad, lemon rice, or lemon roast potatoes. Kofta are also perfect for a mezze platter! With lots of little bites, like spanakopita, dolmathes, garlic prawns, soft pita bread and hummus.

Or, serve your kofta with a Greek layer dip of hummus, tzatziki, diced cucumber, minced red onions, pitted olives, crumbled feta, fresh dill, and a drizzle of olive oil. Don’t forget a side of soft pita bread!
