These 5 simple Homemade Baking Spice Blends are essential pantry staples when it comes to fall baking. Each with their own distinctive flavour profile, they all add a warm sweet, spicy flavour to your baked goods and they could not be easier to make. Just toss the spices together in a bowl, stir until well combined, then transfer to an airtight container (these mini IKEA jars are my favourite ) and store at room temperature for up to 6 months. Why buy them when they’re so easy to make at home?

Apple Pie Spice

  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon ground cardamom

Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1½ teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice

Chai Spice

  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon 
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger 
  • 2 tablespoons ground cardamom 
  • 1 tablespoon ground allspice

Gingerbread Spice

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

Biscoff (Speculoos) Spice

  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
